This course offers an exciting study of the contributions of women to mathematics and science. Students will be inspired by what women have achieved and by the way they often overcame obstacles and prejudice in the pursuit of excellence. The text, Celebrating Women in Mathematics and Science, is supplemented by useful suggestions to help teachers design creative lessons to share the important role of women. This course addressed national standards and may be completed with or without students." (Grades 3-12)
