This course offers an excellent opportunity for teachers to learn more about the young adult novel as a genre and how to make the reading of young adult novels stimulating and relevant to students' lives. Gain guidance on how to incorporate these works into a traditional classics-based curriculum and how to select appropriate high-quality novels. Participants will read several young adult novels and design lessons. This course, ideal for grades 5-12, may be completed with or without students.
