through Fresno Pacific University

Center for Professional Development

Here's an opportunity to read outstanding short stories from multiple cultures, including Europe, South America, and Asia. This course is designed to give teachers an increased appreciation for literature by international authors and a fresh awareness of the short story form and its potential. Students will be asked to write brief informal responses to ten stories and to incorporate two of these stories into their teaching. This course is intended for grades 7-12, and teachers may complete it with or without students. Text also used for Lit 901. Ask instructor about refund.
