Gain fresh enthusiasm and creative ideas for helping young people become willing, effective readers and writers. Teachers will be inspired to try an assortment of practical techniques to make literature come alive for their students and to help students experience the joy of writing. Course requirements include experimenting with a variety of reading and writing activities as modeled in the text and selecting an adolescent novel to read. Teachers may complete this course with or without students. Grades 5-12.
