This course offers an opportunity to read and think about some of the great novels from British fiction. Teachers will be asked to read two novels selected from a list of classics, and to prepare to teach one novel. Because each participant is free to select novels of his or her choice, and because the books are all readily available, there are no texts included. While the course may be most appropriate for secondary teachers, persons who teach other levels may also enjoy the satisfaction that comes from reading great literature. Teachers may complete this course without students. Grades 7-12.
