This course is designed to introduce K-8 teachers to folktales from Africa. The provided texts are beautifully illustrated, promising a fresh and inviting reading experience. Singing, dancing, and drumming often accompany storytelling in the African setting. Learn how to use this cherished source of inherited wisdom to ignite the love of reading in your students. The tales also provide a natural link to the study of culture, geography, and values. Ideal for ESL learners of all ages, this course meets national standards and may be completed with or without students.
